Looking at the Arctic Henge while taking a break from fishing

One time when we were fishing in Melrakkaslétta (Melrakki = fox) we decided to take a break and take a look at the “Icelandic Stonehenge”. It is called The Arctic Henge and is an interesting place to stop by if you are traveling in the North. It is a newly built stone monument and is like a huge sundial aiming to catch the sunrays. It is located in the tiny town of Raufarhöfn.

Although the sun wasn’t shining when we visited, the thought of the soft beautiful midnight sun washing all over those huge basalt stones, was an inspiration to make a yellow and grey Icelandic notebook.
